In addition, its highly crimped structure means that fabrics made from Merino fibres feel extremely soft and comfortable against the skin. This crimping makes Merino wool very airy, so it’s a highly effective insulator that will keep you warm even at temperatures around the zero mark. But this fabric also possesses other desirable qualities. It is naturally breathable, dirt-repellent and quick-drying. Protein molecules in the merino fibres (keratin) remove odour-forming bacteria (sweat).
